Q. When is the best time of year for shark fishing?
A. In New England the optimal shark fishing season is from mid-June through early November.
Q. What types of sharks are found in the North East?
A. The types of shark most likely to be found swimming in the waters of New England are blue, makos, thresher, tiger, brown, dusky and hammerhead.
Q. What is surfcasting?
A. Surfcasting is a form of shore fishing, though much more challenging. Surfcasters fish along the immediate ocean coastline. The gear for Surfcasters is different than inland shore fishers because the conditions are more severe, with high winds and crashing surf.
Q. What kind of bait will we use and do we need to bring our own?
A. Bait and tackles are always supplied!
